Lights are the key foundation to decorating a tree and Linda can show you how.

OK, OK, we know – it just turned Spring last week. And not a moment too soon. It’s been a long winter here in Vermont, at least if you’re not a skier or snowshoe enthusiast. Or maybe your thing is shoveling snow. Whatever. For the rest of us, it’s nice to see the snow melting and the temperature nudging up into the high thirties and forties.

This transition sponsors a thought about how an idea for a future blog post might be a rumination on the meaning of the changing of the seasons and the milestones in life they represent. Potentially deep stuff. We’ll save it for another day.

Meanwhile, yesterday, the thought  struck that sharing  a few ideas we’ve stumbled across for holiday decorating might be fun. You may see a revised form of this show up in this space come this November or December.

As those of you who’ve been to the shop know, we try to make it easy for you to decorate your home with a stylish, distinctive and affordable flair. We sell ribbons and decorative flourishes to help you on your way, and not just for your tree. We offer candle rings, greens, and our own unique decorative wreaths and garland to make your home stand out, whether it’s for guests, friends, visitors or just for yourselves.

Here are a few examples.

So that got us thinking and online to check out what some other nifty decorating tips there might be out there. No surprise – we found a bunch. Here are a few links to some of the sites we visited that seemed to have some good ideas, and – by the way – featured a few items we have here in our shop — right now.

Those should keep you going for a little while – then plan to come here for the experience of Christmas Days and more inspiration. Much more, we think.

Meanwhile, you can get a fuller look at what we have on offer on our newly redesigned website —

See you soon! It’s Spring! And a perfect day for a drive. We’re between Manchester and Arlington on Route 7A.
